This fine biography elucidates Katherine's private life and queenship in painstaking and often brilliant detail. But, the absolute best reason to buy this book are the teeny, tiny closet-sized houses on handkerchief sized lots. I will use it as a textbook for my Constructal Theory and Design class in the Computational Modeling Graduate Program at Federal University of Rio Grande. Higly raccommended if you need to understand the basics. The book I have, as recommended by the teacher, is not 'great.' Furthermore, since my professor doesn't explain things well and doesn't like to be asked questions I find myself looking for other books to get as much help as I can get. So maybe once I see where this all is going, I will LOVE this book for what it sets up, kwim? Oh, wait, is anyone even still reading this?? GO. She TELLS us about her character instead of SHOWing it. It would appear that the whale is an imaginary friend that Noi has conjured up to stave off his loneliness. His dad leaves early for work on his fishing boat and doesn't return until dark. Obviously, he would be physically incapable of moving a whale, no matter how small. The man realizes how lonely his son has been, and on last pages, they are seen having a picnic together. When his father returns, he discovers the whale, and together they return it to the sea. The father discovers the boy is lonely. One night, a great storm washes a small whale onto the beach. The boy discovers the whale is a good listener. Every day, in a house by the sea, a little boy watches his father leave for a long day's work. Together, they return the whale to the sea. And from that day on, the boy learns that the father can be a good listener too, in Benji Davies's heartwarming tale, The Storm Whale.

As a child, he was often found painting at the kitchen table a habit he has continued into adulthood.

Benji Davies is an author, illustrator, and animation director. He lives in London with his wife, Nina.
