Elijah: A Graphic Novel

Each beautifully illustrated page brings these concepts to life through a unique blend of graphite and color, showcasing this story through provocative, startling, and moody atmospheres all leading towards the final confrontation with the Divine. This visual adaptation of the story of Elijah the prophet from 1 Kings 18 is rich with vivid and symbolic imagery. The story centers on the confrontation between Elijah and the false prophets of Baal where he challenges them and their god to bring fire down from heaven wherein the god who answers by fire is the one true God. It is a simple story with powerful concepts. This entire book is a wonderful work of art, each page meticulously crafted to paint the dramatic landscape of the holy battlefield of gods and men.

The author travels from math to physics and swings into philosophy and theology.. I love this series. I'm glad I picked this up as an omnibus and was there for able read it all in one stretch without having to wait for the next part to come out.I very much liked the two main characters, Zane and Lilly, and their relationship of mentor and apprentice, that left their mark on both of them even after they part ways. The novel is not error free (such as the use of site instead of sight in some places, etc), but there weren't enough of them to derail the story for me.There were enough twists and moral dilemmas to keep my interest, and I wouldn't mind giving the the promised "Lilly" novels a try; to see how the four factions (Opel, Tavel, Crags, and Elves), their use of magics and all the potential conflicts inherent upon finding out they had all been manipulated for years by certain members of the Abditus, resolve themselves.. She would say the same thing twice and say far too much. Had Oscar Wilde made only four witty remarks, would people remember him
